Getting your puppy off to the best possible start.
Today most puppy socialization classes are offered by your vet. These can be beneficial, if run correctly. We can recommend. Please contact us for full guidance.
What we can offer is your puppies first lesson, which is held in your home and is probably the most important lessons you will both have.It should happened as early as possible, before your puppy is fully vaccinated.
These lessons can and should happen even before puppy is fully vaccinated. The early the better as you not only teaching puppy how to behave at home, but as well as that you will potentially need to break some old habits.
You will learn how to work and understand your puppy and will include the following:
Ideal setup in your home for puppy
- Correct food and feeding
- Sleeping arrangements
- House training
- Play biting
- Daily routine
- How to interact and play
- Children and puppy
- Some basic commands
Give him the start he deserves…
The aim of 1-2-1 lessons is to teach you to train and understand your dog in the least amount of time.
Dog training in some cases can be a lengthy process, especially if behavioural modification is required. It’s incredibly important for you to learn to be able to read your dog’s body language, read your environment and assess the situation correctly.
We will work with you and your dog with positive reinforcement and reward based training.
We specialised in number of different behavioural issues. For example:
- Separation anxiety
- Jumping up
- And many more…
Our hot favourite lesson is the recall. There is a recall in every dog, and even your dog could be coming back after just one lesson. Husky, Beagle… no matter what breed, with the correct approach even difficult breed can be turned around.
However the longer you ignore, the stronger the habit of running away or ignoring you will become. Remember, you not only teaching your dog a new behaviour, but looking to break old habits, which in many cases can prove to be the harder part.
If you are struggling to control your dog in the park, have an issue at home, or just have a question to ask, don’t hesitate and give us a call.
We understand that not everyone has the time or ability to train their own dog. We can help!
We offer the full package, your dog will stay in the comfort of our home and will be trained and exercised throughout the day. For many dogs and owners, this is the most effective solution.
Minimum stay is 3 weeks, however it is dependant on the issues needing to be addressed and level of training required.
Residential trainings is followed up by two lessons where you will be taught what is required.
Please call us to discus this training option.
We do not run any group classes
as most of dogs and owner find this environment too challenging.
Group classes can be very time consuming, and in many cases, very little is achieved. For the dog, these classes are often too challenging and can even have a negative affect to the dogs behaviour. Dog training doesn’t and shouldn’t be time consuming. 10 minutes a day is usually sufficient.
